Anurag Basu's planned biopic on Kishore Kumar is a step closer to fruition after the filmmaker put the finishing touches to the film's script, the 'Barfi' director announced today.
The film will star Ranbir Kapoor as the legendary Bollywood playback singer, lyricist, actor, director and producer in the as-yet-untitled project.
"Ranbir and I are committed and very soon you will hear the announcement from us, when are going to start the film, " Basu told reporters whilst attending the Big Star Entertainment Awards in Mumbai on Sunday.
Kishore Kumar's son Amit has also reportedly expressed his interest in singing his late father's songs for the film as well as being an advisor to the filmmakers.
