A West London-based laboratory technician used her professional skills to kill her two young children before taking her own life, reports say.
Police were called to the house of Heena Solanki,34, in Ruislip on Friday after her husband Kalpesh found her body along with the remains of the couples' daughters, Jasmine, 9, and Prisha, 4.
Shocked neighbours reported a "chemical smell" emanating from the family's semi-detached home.
Mrs Solanki worked as a school lab technican, according to reports and was planning to start a new job in a month's time.
One neighbour, Don Perry, 76, told the Sunday Mirror: "Police told us to shut the windows as there might have been a toxic substance. We didn't know what to think. We had no idea what was going on and no one would tell us."
Mrs Solanki's parents in law were also resident at the property although they were away at the time of the incident.
A post-mortem will take place next week.
The deaths of Heena, Jasmine and Prisha are being treated as "unexplained" by police.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
