The mother of Mikaeel Kular, the three-year-old whose body was discovered in a woodland near Edinburgh, will appear in court for a second time today, charged with her son's murder.
Rosdeep 'Rosie' Kular, 33, has been on suicide watch at a prison in Stirlingshire after being remanded in custody on January 20.
Days earlier Mikaeel's body was found inside a wood behind the home of Rosdeep's sister Pandeep in Fife, some 20 miles from Edinburgh. Rosdeep had reported Mikaeel missing from the family apartment on January 15 sparking a massive manhunt involving dozens of police officers and hundreds of volunteers.
At her first court appearance, Rosdeep was charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice. She made no plea.
On Tuesday, she will appear in private at court for a procedural hearing.
