The family of a Pakistani girl who disappeared from her home in South Wales nine days ago after a row with her parents have appealed for her to come home.
Nida Ul-Naseer, 18, from Newport, reportedly ran away after arguing with her parents over her wish to go to university.
Police officials say that she had left without a jacket or shoes, her phone, money or her anaemia medication.
Police have been searching woods near her home after the area was flooded in the New Year storms.
Nida, who finished school in the summer of 2013, had been looking forward to starting a business degree at the University of South Wales but had had to give up her place because of trouble raising funds for the course.
Nida’s father, homeopath Naseer Tahir, 54, and mother Najma, 47, have refused to speak publicly about their daughter.
Neighbours of the family told the Daily Mail that Nida had been "disturbed" about being unable to raise the money required for university and had been having "constant arguments" with her parents.
Nida is 5ft 3in and slim with long dark hair. She is described as being of Asian-Pakistani appearance and was last seen in blue jeans and a black top.
