“A taste of Bollywood in the heart of London”
The Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum - the largest in the world - has long been a hotbed of colourful activities - from Salsa Nights and Jazz brunches to Sri Lankan culinary experiences and now, Bollywood evenings.
Putting more than a decade’s experience in organizing successful themed nights, the hotel is putting on a special Bollywood themed evening on Saturday 5th November 2011.
‘The Bollywood Experience’ promises to bring together a unique blend of great ‘desi’ food and some ‘mast’ live entertainment in the form of popular Hindi singer Shery Hassan and professional Bollywood dancers. The hotel is partnering with Guglee Restaurant and Bombay Funkadelic to put on the show.
Guglee is a modern Indian restaurant in Swiss Cottage, with a menu inspired by the myriad array fo cuisine available across India. Bombay Funkadelic meanwhile is a unique London-based events company that specializes in organizing and hosting Indian and Bollywood themed parties and events. Its’ monthly club night has become a key fixture on the capital’s desi nightlife scene, regularly attracting an eclectic mix of British, Asian and Non-Resident Indian party goers who love the cheeky retro atmosphere, kitsch decor and musical entertainment provided by resident DJ Shai Guy.
Jon Beecroft, General Manager of Holiday Inn London - Kensington Forum, is thrilled about this new venture. “Guests will not only sample the fabulous cuisine on offer, but also get to feast their eyes on the grand Forum Restaurant and adjoining banqueting suite which will be decorated top to toe with a touch of Bollywood glitz and glamour.”
